Branding design for an independent coffee bean seller in South Philadelphia. The name being a play on the church across the street, I wanted to imbue the brand with an amalgam of themes from the surrounding neighborhood. As a South Philadelphia native, I grew up with and around many blue collar workers, and also wanted that culture to be present in the branding. Where does blue collar mark meet vintage Bible illustration? I also wanted the brand to have an industrial, stamped look, as if everything was made by hand. I then wanted to apply this look to strong religous imagery.
