Merican is a lyric book, poster series, and animation for the song Merican, by the punk band Descendents. The song is about the ignorance of Americans, and the fallacy of American pride. I juxtaposed this theme with
Donald Trump's presidency, and the nasty things he said leading up to his election. Merican uses a punk rock aesthetic and edgy type to drive the point of the song home, as well as to show the fallacy of Donald Trump's
words and actions.
